How do I configure an ACS workstation to use a different hostname or IP address?
Changing ACS to work with new network settings is a two-fold process. First, you must find out whether you will be changing network domains and if so, does your PC currently use a network almamgr account. If this is the case and the new domain does not already have an almamgr account, an almamgr account will have to be created (either locally or in the new domain). Instructions on how to create a local almamgr account can be found in the ACS installation manual. Also, it could be necessary to create a local alma group as well.
As root, ensure that /etc/hosts
is correctly configured (i.e., check your new hostname and IP address).
